2022 Parade
We are happy to announce that we are back to parading live and in-person-and-dog on Sunday, February 12, 2022 through the streets of the French Quarter from Armstrong Park. Our theme this year, Barkingham Palace: Barkus is Going for the Crown, is certain to bring out canines in attire gilded in gold and dripping in crown jewels. Reportedly, Barkus Krewe members are binge-watching stories about this theme while sipping tea, eating biscuits and practicing the pinkie paw extension in preparation for the parade. Some have even learned that digging in the dirt for no reason and regularly sniffing butts as a proper greeting is as unacceptable as a misplaced table setting.

Purchase tickets to the Royal Ball
Like always, on parade day, there is pre-pawty parade and post-pawty parade at Armstrong Park from 10:30am to 5:30pm. The parade starts promptly at 2pm and follows a 15-block route through the Vieux Carré, stopping at the VIP Reviewing Stand at Good Friends Bar, corner Dauphine and St. Ann, where VIPs will toast the Royal Court. For safety concerns only humans are allowed at the viewing standing and royal ball. Curious observers are welcome to come hang out in the park or watch the parade from the street.
The countdown is on for the greatest dog parade on the planet! In the spirit of all in the Barkus dogdom, together we HAIL BARKUS 2022!
