“Jonagold” Apple is a bossy little lady returning for her second Barkus. She was initially thought of as part schnauzer, but DNA testing has given insights that she is half Poodle and half Boston Terrier. As legend has it, Apple originally hails from Terrebonne Parish, where she was marked as “too aggressive.” Thanks to the good people at Zeus’ Rescues, this misfit got a second chance, and is always up for being royal at Barkus. She knows she is the queen bee, and lets her humans Elizabeth, Brady, and Ethan know about it. She aggressively plays with her half cattle dog brother (Andy) just as easily as she will run from a plastic bag, terrified. “Apps” proves every day that all dogs are great and deserve a loving home.
