We have been actively monitoring tomorrow's weather, and all indications point to heavy rain showers with a chance of thunder and lightning. With this in mind, and after consulting local government officials, law enforcement, and Empress of Barkus weather Margaret Orr we decided to reschedule the Barkus Parade for Sunday, March 9th. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to roll on our original date, the safety, security, and parade day experience for all are our top priorities, and unfortunately, tomorrow does not allow for that.
It is only fitting that with this year’s theme, Vanity Fur: Barkus Rules the Runway, in true Dogue and Vogue style, this year’s parade will be fashionably late.
We are planning the day-of logistics for Sunday, March 9th, and will be sending out updates in the coming days.
In the meantime mark your calendars for the new Barkus Date, Sunday, March 9th.
