Duchess Ivy
Introducing Duchess Ivy! Our ten pound Cavalier King Charles is ready for Vanity Fur! Shortly after the suggestion that my daughter look for a service dog of a certain type/breed, we heard about Ivy, a puppy that noone had expected to survive. Small for her age, with scarred lungs and no breeding potential, her future was uncertain. My daughter was already in love with the timid puppy who had no interest in begging for treats. I didn’t imagine that she’d ever be eligible as a service dog, but my daughter also needed joy after recent trauma and loss. I had no idea that saying yes would start a new chapter in all three of our lives! While Ivy has now been task trained to help recognize and alleviate Addison’s symptoms, she’s been a joy spreader for everyone who sees her! We’re so happy to celebrate her this weekend, and we hope she’ll enjoy it as much as we do!
