**Introducing Duchess Piper Ponder**
We are thrilled to introduce Duchess Piper Ponder, a remarkable young girl making her royal debut in the 2025 Royal Court. At just 9-10 years old, Piper embodies resilience and courage. Diagnosed with an inoperable lung tumor 1.5 years ago, she was given only three months to live. Defying the odds, Piper has thrived thanks to her determined spirit and a rigorous chemotherapy regimen.
Piper's journey has not been without its challenges. Four years ago, she battled uncontrolled glaucoma, resulting in the loss of her right eye and vision in her left. Yet, through it all, Piper remains an inspiration to us all.
The daughter of Johnnie Ann Ponder, who dedicates her time to the veterinary field as a Hospital Manager, Piper has a special connection to animals. She frequently joins her mother on rescue missions with Cane Haven Rescue in Jefferson, Louisiana, where she spreads joy and makes new friends while advocating for those in need.
Duchess Piper Ponder reminds us to never give up hope in the face of adversity. Her message is clear: keep thriving, show dedication, and make the most of each day.
