Duchess Rose Gem
The Most Noble High Duchess of East Carrollton, Rose "Gem" Hembree-Padgett, is the daughter of Professor Carolyn Anne Hembree and Mister Jonathan Russell Padgett. She also resides with her siblings Alex and Circe "Salem" Hembree-Padgett. Born in the year of our Lord 2016, Her Grace was abandoned to the streets at the tender age of three months despite her designer Shih Tzu/ Chihuahua/Yorkshire Terrier bloodline. A good Samaritan of the West Bank of the Mississippi River whisked her away to a government hospital for foundling pups. Upon which, the guardian angels of Animal Rescue New Orleans took her into their keep, christening her "Gem." Forthwith, our Most Noble Duchess was adopted by a wolf in sheep's clothing who after six months relinquished her once more to the government hospital for foundling pups. With grace and determination, the "ARNO" guardian angels swooped her into their loving arms a final time.
At nine months of age, Madam's legacy of strife came to an abrupt halt when she joined her loving "forever" family, taking the surname Hembree-Padgett and the royal name Rose while retaining the cognomen "Gem." Under the tutelage of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Duchess Rose achieved superior erudition and went on to earn the much-coveted Canine Good Citizen Certificate from the American Kennel Club. In addition, she is a member in good standing of the exclusive City Bark cur-ntry club. Aside from her charitable work, she enjoys her avocation as an occasional lecturer in Fureign Languages and H'owl'de English. Admirers often remark upon the Duchess's symmetrical features, neat figure, and thick-lashed mahogany eyes. Pulchritudinous inside and out, she is very approachable and has quietly earned the respect and love of the people of East Carrollton. Thusly, Duchess Rose has humbly accepted her invitation to join the royal court of Queen Ruthie Sable and King Petey Benson for the much-anticipated thirty-second Mystic Krewe of Barkus New Orleans. Dressed by Gurrvenchy in an organza gown with a full flared skirt, she will be escorted by her parents and human sibling.
