PARADE POSTPONED, DUCHESS DISCOVERED
DATELINE: NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana, February 23, 2025 --
Heartbroken Duchess Ti-Henna learned Saturday that inclement weather had forced the rescheduling of Barkus XXXII to March 9, 2025 -- long after duty would require her return to her stylish New York estate. Between sobs & large bites of cheese, the discarded Duchess struggled to keep her chin and tail up for the sake of her beloved Krewe.
But elsewhere in the city, those same clouds contained a champagne lining for a local girl.
Canine archivist Dr. M. Vorhees announced a startling but well-timed finding: his researches had proved the beautiful Winter d'Gouffre to be of incontrovertibly noble blood. With the serenity required of an elegant husky mix cohabiting with seven felines, Winter bravely volunteered to take Ti-Henna's place as Duchess, bringing her inimitable chic & gracious manner to the French Quarter on March 9.
